IDS 2011 – the biggest ever 

On Saturday 26 March 2011 the 34^th International Dental Show closed its doors. This year the five-day trade fair in Cologne reached its highest figures ever – with 115’000 visitors (+9%) from 148 countries and more than 1950 exhibitors (+7%) from 58 countries. The world’s leading dental trade fair was a huge success, providing lots of inspiration for the dental sector.

Cendres+Métaux can also look back on its successful involvement in the show. Presentation of the new material Pekkton^® was one of the focal points on our stand. Together with Wegold Edelmetalle GmbH, we managed to set up a shared stand space and thereby strengthen cooperation with our partner from Germany. Another focus was the SFI-Bar^® live demonstrations with Dr. Dr. med. dent. Norbert Enkling and Dr. Stefan Bayer. The CAM attachments, Esteticor^® Accurate 40 and the Cendres+Métaux Dental App were introduced as innovations.

A lot of interesting discussions took place during the week, existing customer relations were strengthened and plenty of new contacts were made. It showed us that Cendres+Métaux is well-known and the outside world views the takeover of Metalor Dental as fully completed.

For the dental sector, IDS is the most important trade fair there is: with about 140 m² stand space and nearly 50 staff involved, we enjoyed the biggest and best IDS ever. We were able to convey our newly acquired global reach thanks to support from our international subsidiaries, who attended to clients on the spot.

IDS 2011 was extremely rewarding – we look forward to IDS 2013!
