FAQ on the Name Change of the CMSA Group
As of 31 December 2025, all companies of the former Cendres+Métaux Group will change their company names and operate under the unified brand CMSA – Contract Manufacturing Solution Alliance. The Dental division is excluded from this change; the Cendres+Métaux brand will remain in place for this business unit, which continues to be part of Cendres+Métaux Holding SA. The new company names will be as follows:

This rebranding creates a unified and modern brand identity that reflects the integration of all services within the group as well as our international orientation. The changes concern name only; the legal entities themselves remain unchanged. Therefore, no legal succession takes place. Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions regarding the name change.

When will the name change take effect?
The new company names will take effect on 31 December 2025. Starting 1 January 2026, the new names will gradually appear in all official documents, invoices, and correspondence. As the transition takes place step by step, you may still receive documents featuring the previous logo after 1 January 2026

Why is the group changing its name?
The name change is part of the group’s strategic development. It aims to unify our identity and strengthen our position as an internationally active partner under the CMSA brand – Contract Manufacturing Solution Alliance.

What does the term CDMO mean?
CMSA positions itself as a CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization). This means that we offer development, industrialisation, and production from a single source. Thanks to our broad technological expertise, we support projects from the initial idea and prototype development to specialised manufacturing processes, surface treatments, packaging, logistics, and delivery. As a CDMO, we take responsibility for the entire value chain – efficiently, flexibly, and with the highest quality standards.

Will all companies change their names?
Yes. All legally independent companies within the group will adopt a new name aligned with the CMSA structure as of 31 December 2025. A full overview is provided in the introduction above.

Will existing contracts and agreements remain valid?
Yes. All existing contracts, agreements, qualifications, and validations remain fully valid. No new signatures or amendments are required.

Will VAT numbers, addresses, or bank details change?
No. VAT numbers, addresses, and bank details remain unchanged. Only the company names will be updated.

Do new contracts need to be signed?
No action is required on your part. All existing contracts will continue to be valid under the new company names.

What will happen to ongoing orders or shipments around the turn of the year?
All confirmed orders remain valid and will be fulfilled as agreed. From 1 January 2026, invoices and delivery notes will display the new company names.

Will bank details for payments change?
No. Account numbers and payment information remain unchanged.
From 1 January 2026, however, the beneficiary name will appear as CMSA [Location] SA. -
Do customers or partners need to update their internal systems?
Yes, we recommend updating your ERP, accounting, and payment systems with the new company names CMSA [Location] SA as of 1 January 2026, to ensure your records remain accurate.

When will the new visual identity be introduced?
The new visual identity – including logos, documents, and website – will be introduced gradually over the course of 2026. Until then, some previous visual elements may still be in use.

Will the websites change?
The group’s main website will continue to be www.cmsa.ch. After a transition phase and the launch of the new website planned for January 2026, the former websites of all companies will be automatically redirected to cmsa.ch. You will therefore continue to access all relevant information, even if you use an older web address.

Will e-mail addresses change?
New team mailboxes and e-mail addresses ending in @cmsa.ch will be introduced from early 2026 for the various sites and departments. Customers and partners will be informed directly by their usual contacts about the new e-mail structure relevant to their business relationship.
Important: Existing e-mail addresses will be redirected automatically, so no action is required on your part. Personal e-mail addresses will remain unchanged. The central address info@cmsa.ch will also remain active for the time being and can continue to be used for general inquiries.

Will certificates or approvals need to be reissued?
No. All existing certificates and approvals remain valid. Updated documents reflecting the new company names will be issued progressively from 2026 onwards.

Will my usual contacts change?
No. Your current contacts remain unchanged. All phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and existing communication channels remain valid.
